With a friendship of 14 years & counting, we have had all too many situations where we realized that we are equal, but definitely not the same. In a world where equality is often confused with being the same, it can be hard to find your way. No one on this earth is exactly the same and because of that we make things unnecessarily complicated for ourselves. Especially as women among ourselves.
Sanne van der Avoird
No longer bound by the expectations of others, I stand here as Sanne van der Avoird, 26 years old. My whole life I have remained energetic and true to myself, even if that was not always understood. After a period of panic attacks and inner struggle I realized: that being my true self brings peace and growth, both mentally and physically. That is how I feel the urge to contribute something to the world, both as a photographer and concept developer I want to ensure a more beautiful world. In addition, I want to make an impact and create a connection between women around us, help them discover and embrace the same power!
Ophelia Ishak
I am Ophelia Ishak, a 26 year old woman struggling with PCOS and endometriosis. As I work to balance my hormones and life, I strive to share my knowledge and support other women. As a black woman in a white environment, I have learned to be confident despite the challenges of being “different” or “less than”. My journey has motivated me to help others find their power and grow together, regardless of the obstacles of being “a woman”. As a life coach, my dream is to use our platform to make a small difference in the world and a big difference in another woman’s life.
